The sinuses are air-filled spaced around the eyes and nose. Pansinusitis refers to a condition which is characterized by infection of all sinuses. It may be caused due to hay fever, allergies, asthma, nasal polyps, deviated septum, cystic fibrosis, respiratory tract infection or conditions that affect the immune system such as HIV. In acute pansinusitis, the symptoms last less than 12 weeks.
