Can Zoloft & Wellbutrin treat depression effectively?

The Antidepressants just help you take the edge of and try to give you better coping skills to maintain those problems. You can still be depressed after taking any medication - what I mean is, everyone's body is different, and so each medication is going to interact with your body differently. I couldn't take Prozac because it made me suicidal, and there were a bunch of medications like Welbutrin and Lexapro that just didn't do anything for me. Make sure you tell your psychiatrist (or whoever prescribes your meds) how you feel, and maybe they can switch you to something else. Eventually you'll find a combination that works, though I know the process of searching can be exhausting 🫂 If you can, ask if you can get the cheek swab test done. They test your genetics to see if any of the common meds are a bad match for you, so they know what to rule out. I got it done in about 2014 or so.
