Zoloft triggered me when I was a teen and through me into a rage. I became angry and destructive, very out of character for my friendly hippy self. I have been on lots of different meds over the years and unfortunately more often than not they weren't effective or had to many negative side effects.. I've been on Vraylar for a couple of years now and am probably the most stable I've ever been with no major negative side effects. There are some great new meds out there, like Vraylar, Latuda and others. There is even genetic testing for some of these meds to determine how effective they may be for you. Let me know if you'd like to talk more about meds or whatever.šŸ˜ I wish you the best on finding what works for you.

I took Zoloft. Didnā€™t work for me either. Lithium worked for me.

@latashiastary I had to go through a lot of doctors and medicine before I found what worked for me! Keep your head up and keep searching!

@latashiastary so you're on no mood stabilizer? No wonder you feel bad on antidepressant. Antidepressant without a mood stabilizer in bipolar is a recipe for disaster

Hello šŸ‘‹šŸ¾ Iā€™m in no way a medical professional, but when any meds you take arenā€™t working or are making things worse, itā€™s time to change . Perhaps Zoloft isnā€™t the med for your body and mind. Also remember that taking your meds at the same time each day can improve the effectiveness of it. If you have bipolar disorder like myself, some antidepressants can cause acute mania and thatā€™s how I would know a particular med isnā€™t for me . I hope this helps
