How do you cope with worsening POTS? I want to be able to stand up without having to stop and possibly even sit back down. I caught COVID again (the cause of my POTS) and now my symptoms are so much worse. At times I can't even sit in bed, I have to lay down or I'll get faint. The only bright spot I have is having a service dog in training, but I cant take her for her walks. I'm starting her cardiac alert training in a month. I hope she responds well to it!

Some coping strategies for worsening POTS symptoms include increasing daily intake of both liquid and salt, using a cane or a standing rollator to stay mobile but safe, and doing slow, calm stretching while laying down. Regular walking, even in small amounts, can also help improve symptoms over time. A service dog can provide additional support and independence. It's important to consult with a physician before making any changes to your routine or treatment plan.
