Make sure you are reading the label on all processed food. It is shocking how much sodium is added to food! (I have had to give up pizza forever) You should have no more than 2000 mg per day. I try to keep mine at 1500 mg. Then get on some medications for your high blood pressure through your doctor. High blood pressure can lead to increased risk of heart disease and chronic kidney disease. It has no symptoms so I hope you will consider investing in a BP machine at home (I use Omron) and check your BP regularly. I check mine every day, write it down. Then you can see trends. Best wishes!

My dad hated the kidney (restricted) diet...but for him, the renal and BP issues were beyond what the diet could do for him, fairly. It's extremely restrictive, but maybe some things from it might help or be useful for you. Sending positive thoughts your way.
