I’m not sure what this is so I wanted to ask others ideas for what this might be. Sometimes, when I think of something I don’t want to or feel like I’m not supposed to think about, I snap my fingers or my body twitches. It’s usually when I think of someone sexually that I don’t want to think about or, on occasion, I think of messing up in front of people or punching people and do the same thing. I always thought it was an autism response or some anxiety thing, but is it different?

Based on the shared experiences in the context, it seems that such reactions could be related to various conditions including anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, and possibly autism. Some individuals have mentioned similar experiences of nervous ticks or body twitches when they are stressed, anxious, or recalling certain memories. However, it's important to consult with a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis.
