Hi POTS friends. I have an international trip planned for after I graduate college in May! I will be traveling from NJ to Skopje and then to Frankfurt on the way back to NJ. Those are some very long flights. Does anyone have any tips for how to handle longer flights or long haul travel in general with POTS? Also is there anything you would suggest I bring that is different from normal day to day POTS stuff. Or anything different to do at the airport to help make that easier? I will be traveling alone on the flights and being picked up by friends at the airport at each stop. I am nervous but so excited!

Some tips for handling longer flights with POTS include staying hydrated as much as possible, eating salty snacks, and moving your legs around while seated. Wearing compression socks or leggings can also be beneficial. It's recommended to take an empty water bottle through security and fill it up once you go past security. Also, have salty snacks in your personal bag. If you're traveling alone, consider having a medical bracelet and informing a flight attendant about your condition in case something happens. You might also want to print out a medical paper to give them.
