Dealing with Tourettes and Head Injuries: My Story

I have been experiencing tics for about 3 years, now coming on 4, it first started with motor tics, such as bobbing my head, snapping, clapping, and flipping the bird. but come 2020, I got assaulted by a 260 lbs man, kicked in the base of my skull. he lodged my occipital joint into my skull, I'm worried it has caused damage and made my tics worse.. soon after that I developed verbal tics, they don't happen all the time, only if somebody says a word thats included in it or I'm experiencing extreme emotions, whether it be distress or excitement. I have done a little research on the subject of tourettes and head injuries and they can be related but I'm hesitant to assume in case I have actual brain damage. I have said some phrases which include multiple sentences and include motor tics alongside them. I have developed punching, pinching, slapping and grabbing, and I have had a lot of intense episodes that last over an hour, full verbal and motor back to back for at least an hour. I go days without ticking sometimes, sometimes it's only hours. They're very inconsistent, but severe. I can withhold them for a short period of time, unless I become extremely uncomfortable and I've had to leave social events because a lot of them are provocative or offensive. I get really embarrassed having them around strangers and new people, which was caused by my ex girlfriend saying that I looked like I was doing Crack. I know I don't need to be ashamed of something I cannot control, I have never touched hard drugs in my life, only cannabis and nicotine. can anybody relate? I feel so alone and confused
