Talking to People Who Understand vs. Those Who Just Care

I’m so glad someone posted this question. I’ve been thinking about it a lot specifically with dating. It can be so hard and I like the advice given in this thread

even if someone cares, they can still say the most insensitive stuff to you. I enjoy being around people who understand what I deal with. I think both types are relationships are hard. I’ve found that some sick people will compare illnesses and healthy people just don’t get it

Definitely. There’s plenty of people who care. I appreciate them caring, but I don’t really feel that closeness or comfortability when I know they don’t understand. Finding people who understand is why I downloaded this app in the first place.
