How do you talk about your trauma without traumatizing yourself all over again? I got to the point in therapy where every appointment I would have a panic attack because my therapist would only want to talk about the trauma. I would start crying the moment I walked into his office and be crying the entire time.

Yes your therapist should get you to a stable place before they try to talk about your trauma which clearly you are not good luck

Look into EMDR therapy. I used to be the same way & my PTSD is minimal now. The memories are blocked in my brain & I can’t really access them.

That happened with me with my old therapist. I ended up needing to switch therapists. I've made so much more improvement without needing or being pressured to talk about my trauma. I know I will need to eventually, and over time I actually have been able to talk about a few things. I've noticed that letting myself cry about it to someone helps to break through that barrier. Just having a friend who doesn't mind being cried on every once in a while has helped a lot 😅. Overall your therapist shouldn't pressure you to talk about something your not ready to talk about. In the meantime, working on coping mechanisms, distress tolerance, and communication skills helps. IFS and DBT therapies have been the most helpful for me.
