Struggling with Trauma Therapy and Mental Illness

sometimes I feel like a mess. I have PTSD, panic disorder, BPD and generalized anxiety disorder. I started trauma therapy (EMDR) and because my emotions are already out of control and my anxiety is always high, I feel worse then when I started. I don't know what to do because I need to work on this trauma but I can't handle it

I'm starting EDMR hopefully in the next few months. I've been terrified of trauma focused therapies for literally 5 years now because I didn't want to have to feel it all again. But in those 5 years I've had countless nightmares, flashbacks, episodes, and I've accomplished little in my life because I've been running from it. I think you're very brave, and strong to go through this. It's easier said than done, but have faith in your ability to heal 💕

EMDR changes people's lives. I've heard so many people say that it gave them their lives back. Yes you're going to be digging up things that are very painful and it's going to trigger you for a little while but after that it gets so much better. Be gentle with yourself in the early stages and know it gets better 🤍 I'm actually doing EMDR right now too. If you wanna talk definitely message me (:
