Having issues swallowing solids, it's like my tongue forgets how. it ends up taking me a really long time to eat small amounts of food. I've had tests done by ENT and gastrointestinal doctor and they ruled it as psychological. I've tried many medications and I'm so sensitive. Anyone experience this and come out on the other side? I'm underweight so that's a concern as well even though I'm making sure I get 2,000 calories every day minimum. I just can't gain.

One person mentioned that they had a similar issue and were sent to an ear, nose, and throat specialist for a possible swallow study. Their doctor was concerned that the smooth muscle dysmotility of their stomach might have spread to their esophagus causing the swallowing problems. Another person mentioned having trouble swallowing due to anxiety and found it difficult to eat in between sessions at work. They also mentioned that they were underweight and struggled to gain weight despite consuming enough calories. However, no one provided a solution to this problem.
