does anyone else here struggle with substance abuse and managed to quit? if so how do I get help to stop? None of my local addiction treatment centers accept my insurance and I'm fighting for disability right now so I can't afford to pay out of pocket to go. I know I have a problem but I'm starting to get discouraged tbh. šŸ™ƒ

I prefer it to control my muscle spasms over anything else I've been introduced to so far but I have to have something to control my spasms they can get really bad

5 years 420 only and just recently medication for anxiety and depression. I got myself down to a hitter on a good day. It's my preference for pieces. A bigger piece like the one I was smoking last night helps me stay in bed longer. I noticed a puff or two really helps me. I am eating and less anxious. It's difficult when I'm sober because I'm more cranky.

I do not recommend doing it my way but let's just say when I was younger I had a lot of fun and didn't realize it was a problem until I became a dad so personally for me that was all the motivation I needed to quit but now due to some of my issues cannabis is something that I do not abuse but it's something I need to control the functions of my body and there are free programs out there if you're struggling with addictions the only one that I know of is called ru recovery that may or may not be something for you but I'm sure if you look into things there should be programs that are free that's the only one that I know off the top of my head it may not be available in your area and if you do not succeed at first try again and try again and try again and never stop and things will change

i quit smoking weed because it was really bad for my bipolar, but not intentionally. i was forced into a psychward during a manic episode and had to go cold turkey for 3 weeks. when i got out the first thing i did was reach for my pen. i had a huge paranoid panic attack bc my tolerance had basically reset back to zero, and i havenā€™t touched it since.

If you live in America you qualify for Biden care ( Obama care ) it's essentially the same thing as Medicaid which you'll get on disability anyway. I know I am on disability myself.

@BlueCreature I'm already on gov health insurance, they're saying my insurance won't cover it bc of my drugs of choice. Apparently tobacco and cannabis abuse isn't that serious even though I've destroyed my lungs to the point I have chronic bronchitis and every time I try to stop by myself my mental health problems flare so bad I'm at risk of going back to the psych ward. šŸ™ƒ
