I've been struggling with PTSD due being sexually assaulted by a family friend then by an Ex. With the ex it happened a couple years ago I'm not sure how to move past it I think about it often. I blame myself because I chose to leave with him that night and I should have asked to go back home when I realized he was drunk. But now the whole ordeal is affecting my current relationship how can I move past this? I just want to be normal again... should I go back to therapy to try to talk it out?

Blaming yourself is a very VERY common thing. You are not responsible for the actions of others. You never asked for it, nor ever provoked it. I'm sorry you're going through this. From experience, I can say it does indeed get better, however, I do think it's best to see a therapist. The last thing you wanna do is bury your mental health struggle, only for it to pop back up to haunt you. Stay strong, and keep your head up. ❤️

Therapy for sure. You cannot hold it all in. I also blamed myself, for years... It's been 6 years this month and it took me about 4 years to stop blaming myself, but I tried to just hold it in and not talk about it. Finding, not just a therapist but, the right therapist is extremely beneficial.

I would recommend therapy just so you have a safe space to sort out your emotions

Therapy is a wonderful idea. I'm in therapy right now and it really helps. Just know it absolutely was not your fault. You are not responsible for other people's choices. Someone chose to do that to you, you didn't make that choice.
