Hey POTS friends. I am really struggling with my period today and I was wondering what you guys do for help. I am having my normal lightheadedness, rib cage pain, pain all over my body and things like that. What do you normally do for help? I especially need tips because I have a wedding two days from now that I absolutely can not miss. Any tips for an event like this? I haven’t been to one since my diagnosis. Thank you!

Some people with POTS have found relief by drinking lots of water, consuming salty foods or using electrolyte supplements like liquid IV. Others have used birth control methods like an IUD or the pill to manage their symptoms during their period. Compression socks and abdominal binders can also be helpful. Some people also take iron supplements during their period. It's important to rest and be gentle with your body during this time. For the wedding, you might want to consider wearing compression socks and bringing salty snacks and water to stay hydrated.
