When I was around 9 years old I started a habit of eating second and third helpings. If it at a restaurant I would get an adult sized plate before age 12. It was way too much food for me, but it tasted so good that I would force myself to finish it. I would eat as if I would never eat that food again. Cake, pizza, pasta, ice cream. Foods that I eat all the time. I am not nearly as bad now, but I still struggle every single day.

      I was like this as a kid too. My folks would comment to tell me to stop, but they didn't do much to make me stop. My mom told me one day when I started getting big that people were going to make fun of me. I just accepted it. I didn't even see myself as big when I started to get big. I tried to starve myself in second grade and I just got yelled at so I resumed over eating. As an adult my weight has fluctuated between 170 and 250 going back and forth. I am back at the heavy end and I feel terrible.
