I feel like my medicine isn’t working anymore and I’m so distraught. Last month it felt like I finally found the perfect medicine cocktail and it had been working for over two months. Now a month later I feel like a mess. So much anxiety.. apathetic. It sucks :(

      That’s the down side of cocktails. Sometimes they work great and bam your body changed it mind. I have been plying the ever changing cocktail for almost 5 years now. I hope you find something that works out

      When I was in Depakote I was taking 2,000 mg a day from day 1. I'm a big guy 6'5 300÷ so I figured the amount was based on my size. I also used to take Lamictal but I've since stopped that too. I also got trazadone with the depakote..... talk about having zero ability to do ANYTHING....trazadone was very short lived! Recently the only meds I'm on are prozac, Adderall, suboxone.... so far so good but the last 24 hours have been shit on top of shit and I feel the bottom dropping out. My manic/mania are SO SO SO SO bad. Unbelievably crazy highs and super lows. The money I blow thru when it's high is obscene blah blah, you guys know the deal. Something HAS to give soon!

      Whoa! I just got prescribed both depakote and Zoloft and I didn't like the way they made me feel.

      I feel your anxiety. I thought I had the perfect cocktail of meds but then all of a sudden I went on a tailspin and things were totally out of control. I lost my job, my car got broken into, I lost a friendship all in a day. It turned into major depression the following week went right into mania. Come to think of it, I was manic all along. Spending obscene amount of money, sleeping less, talking fast driving uncontrollably fast and being all over the place, not being able to concentrate. The next day sleeping more than usual, wishing I would crawl into a rabbit hole and hibernate. Help. My meds are not really working. I want to get off them

      It took me about 2 and a half years of trying this combo and that combo before we got one that worked. I took that combo for years and then I found out that one of the meds I was on (depakote) the amount I was taking was insane I guess. I ended up going to jail for a few weeks and couldn't take them. Turns out the amount of Depakote I was taking, to just stop it very readily could've killed me, at very least seizures. I believe I did have some seizures but no long term issues. I have since been trying to find a NEW combo of meds. The amount of Depakote I was on was 2,000 mg a day. All taken at bedtime.

      I have been taking zyprexa for about 6 years now and every so often they have to raise it. That's okay.

      There's a possibility that your body has gotten immune to it and you need a higher dosage maybe that's what happened to me with Zoloft it was great for the first month and then my body got so used to it that it wasn't affecting me the same way anymore and I felt like I was back at square one

        @tiffnicole it’s lexapro so maybe that’s the same thing. Thank you for the comment :)

      Did the Dr change one specific med that made you notice the difference?

        @BIGGjon yea I think it’s the lexapro
