Well had my first appointment with my pcp, and found out that I gained a massive amount of weight with little change in my diet and physical activity. Went from an OK 289 to almost 350... I'm walking and doing exercises, and eating 2 well balanced meals daily... bloodwork tomorrow. Found out I got a lot of check engine lights going off. Very stressed about that... I'm getting help to start my transition (ftm-he/they) but I'm scared that my health, mainly my body, will fail and I'll be unable to pay bills and get evicted... I'm trying to make things work, but I'm terrified... I'm so sick of hurting... my pcp won't prescribe anything more than what I've got now, Gabapentin and Tizanidine... and I need something stronger... but since I'm a new patient with no history of diagnosis she can't give me anything yet. I'm all for working through this, but I'm starting to think things may never work out...

My pcp is actively searching for reasons behind the pain. She has puked all the labwork she can think of for me, as well as getting me referred to pain management to help diagnose and treat whatever is going on. Maybe get a new pcp, who'll find out what's happening. I'm sorry you're going truth that.

PCP's don't always handle dealing with a patient's pain well. I have something chronically wrong with my left knee and the PCP prescribed 800mg of ibuprofen instead of doing anything to figure out the issue. Now I have runner's knee because I fell. Still don't know the underlying issue and won't until the runner's knee is gone. But if you are firm about the issues you have for long enough, eventually they'll realize you aren't just looking for drugs to dull it.
