for the past week I have been very depressed. so depressed I've been crying for no reason. I'm super clingy to my husband and feel like if he's focused on anything but me it's the end of the world. I'm taking medicine and keeping up with my sleep. but nothing is helping me get out of this funk. I just started a new job and can't afford to miss any days to go to the hospital for help is there anything I can do.

I'm sorry you're feeling so bad. Lows/depression are so hard to deal with. The therapy method of dbt has a section on radical acceptance. This might help you accept things as they are rather than how you want to be. I've been in your shoes many times and it is absolutely a hard one to be in. Does your work offer short term disability or work place accommodations (shorter days, a partial work week, working from home,, working your own schedule, etc.)? Those have helped me.

I too was struggling with depression & severe anxiety recently. But I started positive self talking on my way to work. "I've got this. I'm a good learner, people are going to notice. I'm gonna rock this day." It seems silly but it has worked amazing. Plus what can it hurt? Pisitive thinking really does bring positive energy. I even got a promotion. Also used along with CBD to help curb the anxiety caused by a separate medical issue.
I make sure to do something every day just for me. I know it's hard, but even a hot shower helps. It takes a bit to adjust to a med change, and your hubby will understand. As far as work goes, try to distance yourself from the daily drama of the workplace and find some peace in the daily grind.
