Therapy is great but not always accessible to everyone. I like singing along to music (often loudly in the car when driving by myself). For me, I have a hard time being sad listening to funk music. Parliament and Funkadelic are my go-tos. There's a great YouTube video of their 1976 show in Houston that I watch on rough days and always makes me feel better. I also love volunteering to pet and play with cats at the animal shelter!! Find your thing that makes you happy, no matter what anyone else thinks about it, and let yourself enjoy it, fully. Lean all the way in. The people who mind don't matter, and the people who matter don't mind.

Honestly weed taught me to see the little things in life and that helped my mentality a lot

some days are a lot harder than others and all iā€™m really capable of is turning on a show i like or some music and finding something creative to do. sometimes itā€™s just a lot of envisioning what i would like my life to be like in a way where iā€™m not putting myself down about not being there now. i pretty much just try to set goals for myself, take time to relax and just put my focus on something else.

remembering i have people and things to look for. i find that gratitude is a great antidote to depression. so every night i make a list of things in my life iā€™m grateful for. sure, it doesnā€™t take away all the bad stuff, but it does help me to not catastrophize out focus on only the bad parts. iā€™m open to anyone who wants to talk šŸ’•

For me, distractions. Music. YouTube. Anything to do that helps me forget. If it makes me laugh, even better but you canā€™t expect it to go away fully. My DMs are always open. Iā€™m with you on this one. šŸ–¤

Well, I usually just try to think about how great my future is gonna be and how much better Iā€™m gonna feel than I do now. I have big goals that drive me to get better everyday and I think goals are a REALLY BIG part of continuing happy every day.

I also recommend some TV shows, one that comes to mind is Midnight Gospel. they discuss death in it in a way that isn't stigmatized and also other topics. the ending of the show is also very thoughtful and resonating

Iā€™m looking into volunteering with NAMI. Giving it all a reason. You have this unique experience and it gives you the ability to understand and help others in the same place

For me I listen to music that I can relate to so usually itā€™s not pop music because itā€™s usually upbeat and happy. I enjoy listening to alternative, indie pop, rock and occasionally r&b lol. I recommend listening to Tame Impala, Dominic Fike, The Strokes, Miguel, Mitski, SZA, Frank Ocean TV Girl, Fiona Apple, and The Neighborhood. Sorry if that was a lot, but I hope it helps. For me what I listen to on a daily, I relate to so In a way it makes my day go by knowing Iā€™m not alone in what I feel

Music is my key motivation to want to live. I listen to it constantly, I recommend trying to do the same. I hope things get better though
