What other people do to cope may not work for you so don’t lose confidence if it doesn’t. Everyone is different and it takes time to figure out what works ❤️

Nature. Water. Cats. And family and friends. Do things that you enjoy or used to enjoy even if it may not feel enjoyable. If anything put yourself into a hospital where you can stay for a few weeks maybe a month. (Do your research though before/if you choose which one) Sometimes we just need to go somewhere where people can help us. For me I needed medication, therapy, mindfulness, and friends to get me that boost to help me get through it. Therapy didn’t really work for me because I’m not that kind of person but that’s why we try to see what does help. That was 2 years ago, i’m in a much better place i am right now than I was. Yes I struggle I have good days bad days but overall I’m doing better. Take care of yourself.

Music music music.... Lyrics are everything. Step out of your comfort zone. What worked for me in trying to find myself is listening to what I used to listen to in my younger days. It has opened my eyes tremendously listening to where the heart of the song has so much relatability. I'm not the only one experiencing this! It's pretty incredible when you listen to a song as a teen then revisit those same lyrics after you've experienced life. I'm telling you it really hits ya! Take it a step further.... Imagine those lyrics from the perspective of someone else... Maybe even multiple people. Some song I can hear the first part and see it from the voice of a friend and the last part is someone else. It's helped me understand men on a whole other level.

I'm really sorry. Its a hard place to be. You can do this though. As for coping, I highly recommend the book "you will leave a trail of stars" by Lisa Congdon. I just finished looking through it again and feel better. I'm not big on self help type books (absolute respect to them but its not personally my cup of tea) however...this isn't one. It's beautifully illustrated and has small sections, paragraph size, kind of like nuggets of things that I think everyone needs to hear sometimes. Really good for when thoughts start to get the better of you. Also doing small things to take care of yourself. Is it thoughts or also actions? Actions like hurting yourself or struggling to do things. When my depression gets really bad I struggle the most with doing day-to-day tasks and taking care of myself
