Hey y'all, call me Kitten, I'm 30 with a toddler, stay at home mom, fighting for disability as I've been unable to work since 2018. I've been diagnosed with Bipolar 2, Type 2 diabetes, Fibromyalgia, C-PTSD, migraines, and Insomnia. I'm in the process of trying to get answers as to why at 30 years old my body is in the process of failing and I'm unable to do things someone else with my conditions can do. I've had three surgeries on my left ankle, one on my right knee that found arthritis, a partial hysterectomy, and most of my teeth have been surgically removed. I'm just trying to get through each day without costing my life as I know it with my husband, but I am struggling. Any advice or guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, I share a lot of your story, with the exception of being single with no kids. I am prediabetic, major depressive disorder, persistent depressive disorder, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, GAD, C-PTSD, and OCD. I am also in the process of receiving disability. Have you checked for inflammatory markers in your blood? Have you been checked for Rheumatoid Arthritis or Celiac’s? Lyme? Thyroid issues?

Hey Kitten. I think the most important thing for you is to stop comparing yourself to other people with your conditions. No one else lives in your body! I am 35 and have the same conditions (with the exception of bipolar.) I know how frustrating it is to just want to live a normal life, and your body won't let you. Remember, though, that all you can do today is all you can do today. Some days you'll be able to keep up with your baby and run errands and catch up on laundry. Other days you may lay on the couch like a zombie and let your baby have Goldfish for lunch. Both of these are normal, for you. Don't measure yourself against what others can do, what you "should" be able to do at your age, or what you used to be able to do. Meet yourself where you're at. Your best is good enough.
