The higher my anti anxiety dose is, the more intense my depression is. I also may be diagnosed with ADD/ADHD. I'm currently on 200mg of sertraline. My psych says that if I have issues it's not due to meds or I would feel it everyday. Untrue, my therapist thinks I need to see a new psychiatrist because I was telling her how hard it is everyday with my life focusing and having intense brain fog and she kept asking me if I was using substances. My therapist says I need to switch psychiatrists. I agree, I feel like I'm not listened to, and again the higher the dose idk. I sometimes feel emotionless. Anyone else??

I hear you. I’m very sensitive to meds, so higher doses don’t really help me so much as dull my emotions. I’ve also had a psychiatrist that was unhelpful in making changes. Definitely look for someone who is going to listen to you and try different things. This new psychiatrist I see did gene testing with me before trying any meds to see if there were ones that wouldn’t be a good fit for me. It was the first time I felt like a professional was seeing my needs instead of just trying anything. You deserve to have a life that you enjoy living, and to be able to manage symptoms that are affecting you. It also really helps having a good therapist, as well, to get through some of the acceptance that has to come with what you can do versus what you want to be able to do. I’m not saying where you’re at now is all you should expect, but you can be kind to yourself while you’re going through this intensity of symptoms. It helps a lot in recognizing that you don’t have to fit a certain mold to find happiness.

Just accept yourself the way you are. It's okay to have brain fog, and it's OK to have ADD/ADHD. Be proud of it,

@dimemanda but it's interfering with my everyday life and causing issues. I haven't been diagnosed yet for ADD but the brain fog has been a severe issue

Yeah I would try a different psychiatrist. Never continue with a health professional that isn't listening to you
