so I basically have one more chance to not mess up or else I can't go back to school and my loans will stop being accepted. I've already done a sap appeal last semester cause I went to the psych hospital and that's when everything started but they've put me on over 10 meds within the past few months and the effects are effecting my school work. they are already forcing me to take 5 classes which is way too much for me but if I fail another class I'm screwed. idk what to do I just want to cry cause I'm so stressed. now I have to call and email all these people to get everything sorted and my school has already been bending over backwards to help me and I just can't get my mental health right. I just want to give up. why does it have to be so hard. now I'm probably going to have to take off next semester to get my meds sorted out before I start school again so I don't fail any more classes but then I'll have to start paying off my loans right away which I'm already like 40k in debt. I'm a college sophomore btw

Student loans do not have to be paid back right away. You have options and the payments don't start until 6 months out of school then you can call them and if you need more time after that, get extentions. Don't worry about your loans...worry about your health and handle that so you can follow your dreams.

When I transferred from a college to a university I had a lot of issues with my chronic anxiety. I was paying out of pocket for school and I couldn’t keep up with the coarse work and pressure. I ended up having to get my psychiatrist to write a letter saying that due to my mental health I needed to drop all my classes. I didn’t know what I was going to do so I went back to college and changed my major a few times. I ended up dropping out of school completely because I was having days that my anxiety was so bad I didn’t feel like I was able to leave the house let alone drive to school. It was hard, but I found a local business that did workforce training classes, so I’ve been taking classes from them so I can get a good job. They haven’t had any classes for a while so I’m trying to get a job I can handle doing in the mean time. I submitted a resume to a pet store to be a dog trainer’s apprentice since being dogs calms my anxiety down quite a bit and I think it’ll be a job I’ll enjoy. That’s all I want right now when it comes to work… a regular job that pays that I can handle anxiety wise and will enjoy. IDK… all I can really do is offer encouragement. You’ve gone further in school then I ever have, I can tell you have a determination in you. There’s a Finnish word. Sisu “determination and perseverance through adversity” you’ve already shown that you have sisu. Every day you get up and try shows your perseverance and strength even when you feel that you have none. School is hard. Just take it one step at a time. Yes maybe you didn’t do well in a few classes, but just take a second to realize, look how far you’ve gone and not everyone could make it to that level of achievement. If you choose to keep going with school, every step forward is an achievement.

@Jelly_JellyFish thank you so much for your kind words 🥺 I'm still not sure if I'm going to take a break from school or not, it kinda depends on if I have to pay my loans right away but thank you for letting me know that I have options and that my life will not end if I choose not to do school ❤️
