I just came out of an abusive relationship, and I'm just really struggling because I didn't even realize I was in an abusive relationship until after he told me how terrible I was and broke up with me. is it normal to just desire to be loved and taken care of by someone new even after all that just happened?

As far as I'm aware, that's very normal. I've been there many times, you're not alone. Sometimes, after getting out of something bad, we just want something good for ourselves, including the love and care we desire, especially if it was denied to us before. I highly recommend taking some time for yourself first, getting to heal and talking with a therapist, if possible.
