so i was minding my business at school and i was sitting on a bench and once it was time for class to start i got up and left, and i passed a group of guys. one of the guys said “excuse my miss- my friend has a crush on you”. i have no idea who any of them were. i was wondering if he was making fun of me. im just wearing jeans and a sweater, no crazy makeup or outfit or anything. now i am self conscious that i look weird and he was making fun of me!

Yeahh, I just wouldn't give them the time of day to be honest. Guys are dicks (im a guy myself so I kinda know). The options are: he was making fun of you. If this is the case, they didn't think it through, probably just was like "there's a chick I don't know". And said it. So don't give him the time of day, don't give his comment the power to affect your outlook on yourself (easier said than done, but still important). Option two, he likes you. But you don't know him? How does he know you? So he just said "that girl is really cute" and his friends are messing with him by telling you. In that case, he's not trying to get to know you, so don't give them the time of day and let it brush past you. Option three: he lost a bet. I know that sounds terrible, but really it only means his friends chose the first girl they didn't know, like it Option one. It dosent reflect how you looked that day. It dosent reflect your appearance at all. It's just that they didn't know you, so it wouldn't affect their day to day life to tell you he had a crush on you and being stupid boys, they did it, not realizing it's affect it could have on someone. So what to do in the future if this happens? Not QUITE certain myself, as I am male. BUT. When guys would pick on me or anything I would FULLY lean into it. It got them to back the fuck up really quick. So say this happened again, just treat it as if you were 100% certain that he's serious that he has a crush on you, look at him and say something nice, then say something slightly mean. Like look at him and be like "Uhhh well.. he has nice eyes.... but his shirt is giving me baseball player vibes and I'm just really not into that." And then ignore the shit out of them. Or something. Idk how to roast a guy from a girl's perspective but that's what I'd do. : )

Not sure if a prank but I'd just run with it hahaha to feel any less miserable, would ignore them and not reciprocate any of them back but just run with the idea that "maybe I am damn attractive" 💕🤗

Some guys that are immature tend to do this. I've had this happen to me a couple different times. Sometimes, it's definitely a joke that is making fun of you. Other times, they are just trying to embarrass their friend. There is always the chance this isn't the case, though, and he just mentioned to them that you're attractive.

@Squidium It's kind of hard to tell what it is unless they are laughing or they actually tell you.

It think they were just being dicks, I strongly doubt you look weird or anything like that!! They probably just find it funny to make stupid comments. I'm sorry you had that happen
