I fold under pressure and have a hard time standing up for myself, which has caused me to expose and share things i would’ve preferred to keep private. it’s mentally exhausting for me and i don’t know how to fix it

Therapy with an educated licensed professional that I got along with has been crucial for me. I was a doormat my entire life. Didn’t know how to establish and enforce boundaries. It wasn’t until I started seeing a therapist that I was able to define my values and establish boundaries with myself and got so much better at standing up for myself. Might take a while to find the right therapist at a price you can afford, but it is absolutely life changing.
