does anyone have experience bringing up with their psychiatrist that they might have bpd?? my biological mother was diagnosed with it and i experience significant abuse and trauma in my childhood, and i relate to almost all symptoms that i see. the symptoms though really only happen when it comes to my bf :( if i do have bpd or whatever it may be i really do want to get help for it bc i don't want emotions and thoughts that i have a hard time controlling to ruin my relationship:((

it depends if you have a therapist or a psychiatrist but assuming you do, i would say schedule an appointment of your symtoms and tell them why you think you might have bpd and make sure to let them know of other medical history in your family!!
