Resigning from my job and feeling anxious about the future

I put in a months notice for my resignation at work... 4 hours after I put it in the let me go early. I'm getting my schedules paid for, so from today - 7/17 I'll be getting paid the 60+ I'm scheduled for but don't have to work. I know this should be a win but I'm very nervous of something going wrong with payroll or my job fucking me over. I've never been terminated before (if that's even what it's called?!?!) and I don't have a new job. I had to put my resignation in because I'm getting kicked out of my house 7/31 and not having a job is really scary. Any advise or words of affirmation would be helpful :(
