Hi does anyone have any advice for quitting a job? It’s my first job out of college I have stuck it out as long as I can (about a year) but it has physically and mentally drained me + working ridiculous hours and weekends. I am looking for a new job and plan to have one lined up when I leave but I have severe anxiety about telling them that I am leaving!! Any advice?? 😣😣😣

I'm actually quiting my job right now for similar reason. My best advice is that it's not something you have to stress so much about. A 2-week notice can be 2 sentences long. Lots of places are hiring right now and you are allowed to leave one job whenever you want to. They don't owe you at a company!

I just quit my job a week ago! Easier said than done, because its never easy, but for me the anticipation of quitting is worse than actually quitting, in fact i feel soooo much better knowing i dont have to work for this awful company anymore. So try not to feel too bad, its not a good job and they’ll likely have you fully replaced inside of a month. At the end of the day you have to look out for yourself and if you’re miserable over a job you have that power to leave and make your life better despite what your employer may think.

Also don't forget a 2 week notice is really just a courtesy, it's not required by any laws

Send them a nice little email just saying that it’s been great and you are ready for your two week notice. Short, sweet and to the point works just fine. Good luck!
