Hey everyone I quit. I emailed her and didn't give notice. I just couldn't walk into the families house for another 2 weeks.

Look into the laws in your state/country/industry. Some places hire "at will," meaning they can fire you at any time for any reason--even after you put in your two weeks. This happened to a friend; he put in his two weeks and before the end of the day, he was called into HR and fired. So before putting in your 2 weeks, make sure you know if this is a possibility and whether you want to risk it. Because putting in your 2 weeks looks better than quitting, but quitting looks better than being fired.

My approach has always been to try not to burn bridges when I leave a job. I try my best to tie up loose ends and give a week or two notice. That way, if an opportunity opens back up there that I want to pursue, I know I can come back to them on good terms. At the very least that cultivates a good reference for future opportunities.

Also, don't feel like you have to give a lot of details about why you are leaving. Just keep it simple and respectful.

I did this recently! I went to school to do this job that now hurts me physically due to repetitive and now affects mentally. It was so hard it’s took me almost a full year to be sure and gear up to it. I kinda made a pro con list. Then I gradually wrote my notice letter. I was so nervous and anxious and sweaty. But I did my best to explain simply and left of a positive note. It’s went well but I was shakey. But I knew and felt I did it right thing and felt so much better afterwards! It was step by step thing.

Breathe and quit. You want to put in 2 weeks notice or completely leave the job the same day?
