For anyone who has had an excision surgery for their endo- How long did it take for you to not feel any pain after surgery? I’m a month post op and still feel very intense pain in my pelvis, my left ovary, and up into the left side of my rib cage. It still hurts to pee as well, light intercourse left me unable to move and in so much pain I almost passed out on the floor. Thanks in advance for any replies :)

I have had 3 surgeries and my first two it tooks months for it to help and then seemed as if I had went back to my normal pain very quickly. My last surgery went much better and I have been able to control it with birth control. I think it matters on who performs the surgery.

While they do say full recovery takes 6 weeks, they also told me if I’m not seeing progress in less pain and discomfort every day, even in small ways, I need to contact my surgical office. It sounds like you are in way too much pain this far out. I would contact your surgeons office and if they say it’s normal maybe try to find a second opinion.

Congrats on your surgery ❤️ I’m so sorry to hear this! I am 3 & a half months out from excision surgery, and my bad pain stopped around two months after. I think it’s case by case, but just remember that endo excision surgery is major and your body is recovering from a massive trauma! Take it easy and let your body heal. I know it feels like a month is forever, but you aren’t too far out yet. You’ve got this. It’s going to get so much better 🥰

I’ve had two surgeries in the past. I’ve had an ablation which increased more problems for me but my excision in May probably had me in pain for a little over two weeks. the first week was super painful because it took everything out of me to lay down and get up. I think it all depends on how extensive the surgery is and how skilled the surgeon is. I also think it’s super normal and okay to have pain or feel out of place for a couple weeks. to feel totally okay or back to myself, it probably took at least three months. I have another surgery in July and I’m so not ready for that again 😬
