Hey, endo warriors! How long did it take each of you to fully recover from excision surgery? I am currently almost 2 months out.

In total? 1 year to really thoroughly heal
My first surgery in 2020, I had a horrible recovery with returning to the surgical ward for many nights, and many visits to the ED with no answers. I knew something was wrong but nobody would take new scans. It took me almost 5-6 months to be able to completely tolerate my pain. But because Covid hit, I stopped pursuing why I was still uncomfortable. End of last year, my pain was still tolerable but worsening. Various tests and scans and in Feb, I was told I was having another surgery in a month. They found what was wrong when I kept pushing for scans that nobody would take. Same surgery, and I basically recovered in about 7 weeks (although one incision recovered thick and purple and I still get the occasional phantom pain). Your stomach and abdomen has gone through trauma and everyone copes to it differently, but you know your body. Trust the healing process but if you believe something is wrong, follow it up with your GP and specialist!
My was 2-3 months for my first one

One person mentioned that they were in pain for a little over two weeks after their excision surgery, and it took them about three months to feel totally okay or back to themselves. Another person said their bad pain stopped around two months after the surgery. However, recovery time can vary depending on individual circumstances.
