Possible OCD Diagnosis: Need Advice

Dermatillomania is a common symptom of OCD but it’s not a huge indicator of it, maybe try to examine your intrusive thoughts ? (“just right” is a lesser known obsessive thought pattern)

It could be for sure, my dermotillomania isn’t my only OCD habit. I’m obsessive over my bathroom light and it has to be off and on in my head or I will think and stress about it the whole day. I’m the same way the locks as well. But It can be easily confused with anxiety hand in hand.

I have dermatillomania as I make my cuticles bleed. I also have bit my nails until they bled and have torn and cut off my skin on the bottom of my feet until they bled as well.

i have ocd and dermatillomania. part of it is related to my ocd and part is related to my anxiety and adhd. it’s a difficult situation to deal with, you should talk to your therapist about it if you have one.
