Struggling with Dermatillomania: Seeking Advice

Hi friends! I have ADHD, OCD, anxiety, depression, and most recently i’ve developed dermatillomania that I believe stemmed from my OCD. it has gotten a lot worse over time and if any of you struggle with it, do you have advice? thank you!

The advice given here is great so far. I think I'd like to add that I took a small therapy program online to help with this. It's no magic pill, but it will give you the proper ammo to fight it when it does come up. I still remember a lot from what I learned from it, and I took that program over 5 years ago. https://www.skinpick.com/online-therapy-program

Hey, I also have dermatillomania, but it's mostly affected by my ADHD. I found that one of the biggest things that help is to keep my nails really short so there's no way of them actually harming the skin! Another is accountability, since I personally don't notice until it hurts and there's blood, lol. I told my S.O. and friends to quietly redirect my attention with something to do with my hands if I pick, or straight up tell me if we're in a private setting. Once you have someone reminding you not to do it, you can more easily notice over time when you catch yourself doing it and what possible triggers made you pick. Sorry for the wall of text, I hope that helps!
