The Pandemic's Effect on Self-Concept

I definitely became more myself by being able to unmask more due to not having to be in so many situations where masking was required. Zoom was great for my ASD cause I could fiddle/stim/hug plushies all I wanted and no one cared. On the other hand, my adhd hated zoom lol, so hard to pay attention, even with stimming and stuff, the screen was just a huge barrier

Surprisingly positively! I sort of uncovered my self-diagnosis near the start of the pandemic, so it’s almost felt like it’s aligned with this journey of trying to discover my authentic self. Plus, masks are a lifesaver, especially as I work on unmasking (pun unintended, but appreciated)

Honestly? Positively. I left a very bad situation towards the beginning of the pandemic and I have been able to use this time to get to know myself and take care of my needs which had never been done before. No one can love you the way you can love yourself imo.
