Honestly sometimes I drink NyQuil when I get off work because I don’t know what to do with free time and it usually ends with a terrible binge and purge episode

I can relate to not knowing what to do with yourself after work. My whole life I’ve focused on studying, school, and work and I never found any hobbies or fun activities to spend my free time. If I’m not constantly inundated with a busy schedule, I panic and overthink. Because I realized I don’t have any real hobbies outside of school and work, I’ve started to work on finding ways to spend my time. Watching YouTube, working out (and by working out I mean walking on the treadmill, nothing strenuous), or reading. Cooking is another good option, even if you don’t think you’re good at it just following a recipe or making boxed brownies is a start. I also try to FaceTime friends and family, journal, or clean. Try finding a hobby that interests you and even if it doesn’t, try to stick with it for a bit or do something else. I believe in you! I would like to discourage you from drinking NyQuil when you don’t need it… the extra Tylenol will be harmful to your liver. Best of luck and I’m always here if you need to chat.
