I want to stop rx meds for dvt and want to use natural treatments. Has anyone had success doing that?

Traitor Juice has some good info there. I get my Eliquis through my dr, from the drug company. Usually I have to buy one month, maybe 2. For Eliquis, you have to submit proof that you (and your household) have spent at least (I think it is) 3% of your yearly income on prescriptions. Then they send 3 months at a time. My Hubs takes Pradaxa, he gets his at no cost, the requirement is a bit different, don’t remember exactly, just know his is easier. You can also go to the websites and print off forms

I have wondered about quitting my Xarelto. What worries me, is if I can't get it for some reason... What can I have at home that I can take instead? Aspirin? Not sure what would be a good alternative?

@Georgina that would be something to discuss with a doc, but most drug companies have patient assistance programs if the meds are necessary but too expensive

I might stop taking some of my drugs, but never would I stop my Eliquis.

Personally, I would not risk it. I have had 3 episodes of DVT, multiple PE’s, saddle embolus. I almost went the trip with the first one. Meds are expensive but I am sticking with what has been working for me.
