Hi friend! Personally, when my emotions start to feel out of my control, I need to distance myself, if possible. I take some time just to calm myself down and bring myself back down to a less-heightened feeling state. Lately, I’ve really been enjoying listening to my favorite songs on repeat at the perfect volume - and I’ve been checking the beats per minute on the songs to see if it pushes my heart rate to go faster or if it slows it down. After I’ve calmed down and my head feels more clear, I can attempt to process what happened and how I can approach the situation in a clear-headed way. I hope this helps!
