I fall asleep to music and get lost thinking about either the music or any other ideas

I like picking a specific daydream to have as i fall asleep, that way going to bed becomes an activity that can keep me preoccupied and one that i actually enjoy

@chungledownbim I thought I was the only one who did this! It is helpful I find.
for hyperfixation if it's like painting or something artistic just do something of the sort that you can do while being productive, I sing if I feel like I've locked on to something and that works, and for sleep I don't have anything, I can't get melatonin so I just stay up for hours on end, but if I try really hard to fall asleep while listing to brown noise it works most time, look it up, white noise and pink noise are to chaotic for me so brown noise is perfect
For sleep, I use Melatonin supplements and I also drink a nightly tea that contains Valerian Root. It usually knocks me right out within 30-60min.
Regular mindfulness helps me. Not necessarily like meditation, but for example like being present and actively focusing while doing chores or eating

Ok thank u
For hyperfocusing, no idea. I still struggle with that. For sleep, try melatonin and putting the phone away at a reasonable hour. It helps me, even though it sounds corny
Pulling yourself out of a hyper fixation is really hard to do without being mindful about your actions. I've heard people mention phone timers but I always forget to set them up because I'm so wrapped up in my hyper fixation ^^' As for going to sleep on time I highly recommend using sleepy gummies. Especially if you're on Adhd meds, they will keep you up all night if you don't have something else to shut your brain off.
