Managing Gluten Poisoning: Tips and Tricks

Ugh I'm so sorry about that! This has happened to me before when people said "yeah its gf" and I find out later it wasn't. I get constipated instead of the runs like others. I drink tons of kombucha because if not I'll be constipated for almost 2 months. 6 kombuchas down and it's the only thing that helps.

In general my coping mostly amounts to sleeping the pain away, sometimes with the assistance of melatonin. Also drinking water, water, and more water. If you have diarrhea, drink water. If you are vomiting, drink water. If you are dizzy, drink water. If you have any other symptoms, drink water. Bonus points if it’s a drink with salt and electrolytes. Also avoid foods that are more difficult for your body to digest. For me that mostly just means dairy, but it could be different for you.

Unfortunately there's not much you can do other than waiting it out. It sucks. Make sure that if you live with others who eat gluten daily to clean surfaces before you handle your food, use different appliances (toasters especially) or make sure they are well cleaned before use, keep your food in a separate area, and be really cautious because crumbs could be anywhere!
