My doctor called me yesterday regarding my blood work results and said that I have a decreased white blood cell count. I was told that it wasn’t too significant, but that they will keep an eye on it. I work in a hospital as a nursing assistant (not a nurse), but I know enough that a low WBC count is never a good thing. Can anyone tell me what causes this and if I need to be concerned?
