I wouldn’t let it stop you from sleeping at night but yes. Woman periods are often over looked because so many of us have complications. However periods should not be too painful and they should be regular (assuming you are not on birth control). I would seek out help with a gynecologist and explore your options. Don’t let them tell you it is normal you have to fight for a good doctor sometimes. That being said your period complications may not come from your period itself and can be a symptom of any other medical problem.
