Irregular Menstrual Cycle and Debilitating Pain

So I've been wondering about my cycle for a while now and none of my doctor's seemed worried (or maybe they didn't care cause they were on the lower end of quality) which brings me here. I've never been able to track it because it's ALL over the place sometimes I'll even bleed for weeks at a time and the pain is almost debilitating. Some days it's all I can do to get up to take care of myself. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

      Soooooo many things and most are benign. For me, I found out it was endometriosis. I'd see your OB when you can and ask what they think. They can do an ultrasound to get a bit of an idea, but the best way is a laporoscopy.

        @UCBree not the original poster, but I think I might have endometriosis. Can you tell me more about it? (Either here or pms!) I'm about to see a gyno about it and would like advice on how to advocate for an assessment as well, if possible.

      So luckily since I got the IUD the flow hasn't been so bad anymore maybe a liner or two for the whole ordeal and I'm good but before I was going through S+ tampons every couple hours. When she did my pap she didn't mention seeing anything out of the ordinary and as for my mood... It's almost like a whole different person like the slightest things will set me off and make me cry it's insane. Though again they didn't seem all that interested in it. I vaguely remember my grandma telling me I had cysts on my ovaries as a kid and that was why but I don't think I heard anything from a doctor or anyone I'm definitely in the market for a better OBGYN though because this is insane šŸ˜‚

      There are a LOT of things that can cause irregular periods, painful periods, and fatigue. I highly recommend starting to record as much as you can about them, what it does to your mood, what the pain feels like, how heavy the flow, stuff like that.
