Intense Nightmares on Medication

I’ve had a lot of really vivid, extremely lucid dreams. I’ve been on escitalopram for a long time now, and my psychiatrist recommended 1mg of prazosin at night for my recurrent nightmares. I never put it together that lexapro could be the trigger. Those dreams are so scary and often seem incredibly real. I used to suffer from a lot of sleep paralysis and those experiences are harrowing. A sleep full of nightmares usually ruins the entirety of the following day!
