Happens to me! I’m already an insomniac so that really isn’t helping. Making me feel stressed

I have! When I was younger they were more adventurous, fun dreams, but as I’ve gotten older, they’ve become more stressful and uncomfortable. I haven’t found a particularly good way of dealing with it, as I generally struggle with regulating anything to do with sleep. But, using calming things like lavender and frankincense oils and trying to meditate or do something else relaxing before bed to wind down sometimes eases the issues.

oh yea for sure i’m on meds for it now but my psychiatrist pointed out that it was probably from anxiety. maybe talk to ur doctor ab it if it’s causing u problems like for me it was sleepwalking and talking and waking up soaked in sweat or tired no matter how much i slept

Wow thanks so much never had anyone relate irl. whenever I brought it up to my therapist or psychiatrist they really didn’t know what I meant. After analyzing them I realized that a lot of it had to do with anxieties I had throughout the day if I didn’t calm down before bed which is most nights. I’ve had this for as long as I can remember and never knew there was any sort of treatment

It’s infrequent for me but I’ve noticed that the temperature of the room I sleep in changes a lot. If it’s too hot I am way more likely to have weird dreams.

I notice them way more if I go back to sleep in the am after being awake to pee or something. But they are not nightmares per se. Just really uncomfortable unpleasant dreams.

i do every single night. i notice it more whenever i start a new medication. maybe if you just started something new or an older medication could be contributing.
