Am I allowed to be hypomanic? I have schizoaffective. I won’t get into it but it’s been hell for about a year. I was hypomanic last spring but completely unmedicated so i ended up in the hospital. Since then I have gotten every horrible thing expect hypomania…. This is the only taste of positive emotion I get. I don’t know if my psychiatrist will try and add something to bring that down… would she? As long as I’m safe and not doing anything outlandish is it medically acceptable to just be a little hypomanic?

I think it’s part of the schizoaffective disorder, right? I have the same disorder. I have felt like that before but I think it’s normal to be kind of calm and not too excited but happy
