i just had an episode where i started hyperventilating, my vision blurred and my heart rate went up to 155(according to apple watch) It lasted only a few minutes. Is this an anxiety attack or a panic attack? I have never had anything like this.

Sounds like a panic attack. However, if it continues to happen and you feel like your heart’s beating in your throat, it could be a mild case of Supra Ventricular Tachycardia or something mild along those lines. Your Cardiologist will definitely be able to rule that out with an Echocardiogram. My Panic Attacks are violent and severe. Until I dared to try an anti-depressant, (medicine phobia) I was in our local ER at least every two weeks. They all know me. I started the Zoloft about two years ago. It was excellent for a year and some. I’m at 200mg now, and it’s working less and less. I started at 25mg. Now, I’ll have to switch to what????? I’m not sure. If anyone has any ideas, let me know. Thanks and let’s take care of ourselves. Nobody knows our bodies and minds, better than ourselves.

That’s such a scary thing to feel, so first I’m proud of you for getting through. • I’ve had both kind of attacks. Anxiety attacks are from a gradual build up of stress due to a trigger. While panic attacks are more sudden & extreme, unexpected, & in a shorter time. • So based on that, I think you had a panic attack. There are many resources I’ve found, so it can be managed. But yeah it’s the worst feeling, glad you reached out ❤️
