I just found out today that hyper mobility increases the level of adrenaline in your body. Some things I’m wondering if anyone else experiences is being able to handle stress well and having less pain when doing things that release adrenaline? I’ve always thought I was just weird and it was a trauma response but I don’t react to things (my grandpa had a heart attack, my brother broke his back, rock climbing incidents, car accidents) but I’m wondering if it’s just because my body is used to the constant “going, going, going” response. Also, when I worked at a them park and was riding coasters a lot of days, I had way less pain than on the days when I didn’t. Anyone else have similar experiences?

I have not heard of this until now but that makes a lot of sense! I also am very calm in emergencies and come across as “unmoved” by most things because I think I’m so used to pushing through my daily pain that my mind responds to it in the same way. I do feel like when I do high adrenaline activities I do feel a lot better, but I have a really hard crash the next day. I totally get it!

I have always remained really calm during emergency situations. Exercise helps with reducing pain, but I think that is true for everyone.
