Dealing with Anxiety and Physical Pain

Yes for sure. It’s so interconnected and find that if one is exacerbated so is the other and then sometimes I have no idea which my symptoms are actually from- pain or anxiety so it’s harder to effectively manage when I don’t really know what exactly I need to do to bring it down and makes it feel so much more chaotic and dysregulated. Sorry you’re feeling this too. I’ve done a lot of research trying to fix this and basically when you’re in pain your body sucks up neurotransmitters that would keep the anxiety minimal. So when the neurotransmitters are off due to pain or anxiety it can make it much harder to deal. What I have found helpful for my pain and anxiety are supplements since the meds I’ve tried I’ve had bad reactions and already do as much as I can to “reduce stress”- L-theanine (increase gaba) L-tyrosine (converts to dopamine) 5 HTP (converts to serotonin) GABA- supplement not the medication- makes me less shaky I personally like stimulants- reduces pain and helps me focus but it effects ppl differently- caffeine & PEA (Palmitoylethanolamide) which is stimulant, anti-inflammatory, and nerve regulator.
